Science Capital Imperiais a new independent venture fund to be launched by Imperiato help transform world-leading research into successful, high-impact businesses.

Science Capital Imperiawill provide early-stage investment to support the creation, development and scale-up of º£½ÇÉçÇø’s spinouts, helping bridge critical funding gaps. It will invest at least 50% of its capital in Imperiaspinouts, while also supporting opportunities from selected partner institutions. 

By providing patient capital alongside strategic guidance and access to experienced Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, the fund will help accelerate the journey from research discovery to commercial success. 

While launched by º£½ÇÉçÇø, Science Capital Imperiaoperates independently, with all investment decisions made separately from the university, ensuring professional and impartial investment management. 

Strengthening the innovation ecosystem

Science Capital Imperiais designed to strengthen º£½ÇÉçÇø’s innovation ecosystem by increasing access to capital, attracting co-investment and supporting ambitious founders as they build and grow their ventures. 

The fund will complement º£½ÇÉçÇø’s existing enterprise programmes and funding initiatives, enhancing the support available to researchers and entrepreneurs at every stage of the innovation lifecycle.  

The fund will also help reinforce investor confidence in the quality of º£½ÇÉçÇø’s research, talent and entrepreneurial community, attracting additional investment into the ecosystem.
